IAM Magazine’s NPE 2015

Conversant’s CIPO Scott Burt was a panelist at IAM Magazine’s Inaugural event, NPE 2015, which took place in New York City on March 12 2015. Mr. Burt took part in a lively panel discussion about the patent licensing operating climate. Discussion focused on the importance of understanding the policy environment under the increasing glare of federal and state regulators in the United States. Panelists explored what impact the latest attempts to reform the patent system will have on NPEs. They argued how NPEs can take the initiative in reform by committing themselves to best practices and supporting efforts to introduce standards for the licensing industry.
