Conversant Executives to Speak at Numerous Patent Conferences across North America

During November 2014, Conversant executives will speak at four prominent IP industry events.

Patents in Telecoms Conference – The UCL Institute of Brand and Innovation Law and George Washington University’s Faculty of Law, in partnership with GSMA and ETSI, are hosting the Patents in Telecoms Conference, November 6th to 7th 2014 in Washington D.C. Key topics include the future of telecoms regulation and the business of patent buying and selling. Conversant’s CIPO Scott Burt will participate in a multi-disciplinary panel about defining patent assertion entities.

2014 IP Dealmakers Forum – This forum brings together investors, IP practitioners and advisors to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the rapidly changing IP marketplace. The event is taking place November 6th to 7th in New York City. Conversant’s President and CEO John Lindgren will join a panel conversation about the current view of the IP market and investment landscape.

Unitary Patent Conference hosted by Premier Cercle – On November 13th the one-day Unitary Patent Conference in New York City will provide IP professionals, General Counsels and NPEs with information needed to seize new opportunities from the European Patent System. John Lindgren will deliver the opening address for this event, with a presentation about principled patent licensing, including discussion of key best practices.

University of Toronto Patent Colloquium – The Centre for Innovation Law and Policy presents the Third Annual University of Toronto Patent Colloquium with the theme “Patent Law Goes to Washington: Balancing Protection and Innovation (Canadian-style) at the US Supreme Court.” Scott Burt will take part in a panel discussion about how to identify and define “patent trolls.”
